Life changing work at home
Young Foundations Fostering is continually looking for new carers throughout the North East of England. It’s a life changing career change that can have a major and positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
People wishing to become foster carers are expected to meet strict criteria for selection consistent with the Department of Health National Standards, the Fostering Regulations and the Children Act 1989. To learn more about the applications process, click here.
Ideally, potential carers should have previous experience of fostering or employment in working with children. Young Foundations Fostering also welcomes applications from people who have cared for their own children, or have any relevant child care experience. Our foster carers can come from all walks of life. You don’t have to be married, for example, to be considered. Training and support are vital to the success and effectiveness of our carers. Above all, foster carers must be able to demonstrate commitment to the welfare of the children and young people providing them with a structured living environment and the stability they crave.
