"Our foster carers can come from all walks of life"
Who can foster?
Young Foundations Fostering would like to hear from anyone interested in fostering.
Ideally, we'd like to hear from applicants who have previous experience of fostering or working with children but we also welcome applications from people who have cared for their own children or have relevant childcare experience.
Our foster carers can come from all walks of life. You don't have to be married, for example, to be considered as a foster carer. You may work, or you might not.
Foster carers must meet strict criteria which are consistent with the Department of Health Standards, the Fostering Regulations and the Children Act 1989. But most importantly, foster carers must be able to demonstrate a commitment to the welfare of the children and young people.
