Young Foundations Fostering is an independent fostering agency providing long-term, short-term remand and respite foster placements for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18. For reasons often associated with problems in their early lives, they will be experiencing difficulties that prevent them from leading stable lives.
Typically, the children and young people placed with Young Foundations Foster Carers may exhibit one or more of the following: challenging behaviour, complex needs, suffer from emotional and behavioural disorders, mental health problems or learning disabilities, have difficulties in school, have a history of offending.
Our fostering service is aimed at providing children with a structured living environment, based within the homes of skilled, trained and well-supported foster carers. We have a team of qualified and experienced social workers that support our foster carers to ensure they are providing the best possible care to children and young people placed with them. That support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We are part of the Castlebeck Group of companies, which has over 18 years experience in the health and social care sectors providing care for adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Also within the Group we provide high quality residential care for children and young people who present with complex needs and challenging behaviour, through ‘Young Foundations’. As an extension of this service, Young Foundations Fostering is able to draw upon the skills and services already in place at Young Foundations, to deliver professional fostering with a geographic focus across the North East of England.
